Laughlin Guitars RRL Parlor in Pacific Dogwood/Sitka Spruce
We've all been very impressed here at Bluedog with the voice on this VERY small 14 fret parlour guitar: vintagy, VERY loud and unique! If you've been looking for a couch guitar that is easy to play - and sounds exceptional - this may be the guitar for you. Bonus: it has a Sound Port!
Handbuilt right here in Vancouver, BC, this new Laughlin Guitars RRL (Reduced Redux Large) is a 14 fret guitar that has a very small 17" long body with a 12.5" lower bout and 24-5/8" scale. Bob Laughlin is a very talented luthier!
Bob Laughlin harvested the Pacific Dogwood here in BC in 1979 and re-sawed it 20 years ago. This guitar has a Sitka Spruce top from Craig, Alaska, an American Cherry neck, Ebony fingerboard, East Indian Rosewood bridge, and the Rosette, head plate and binding are crafted from Black Alowood and Holly! Bone saddle and bridge pins, TUSQ XL nut, Graph-Tech RATIO open back tuners and a Gator hardshell case. There is no truss rod in this guitar - there is a 3/8" x 1/2" graphite bar down the centre.
